So I have an issue with Covenant Transport. I’m trying to find a lawyer that can help but I’m running into the issue of finding a lawyer who understands truck driving and DOT regulations regarding employment problems. Anyone have any advice? I live in Oregon and work out of Washington State.
Any ACTUAL help is appreciated.

www.OOIDA.com has lawyers that specialize in trucking.
CrappieJunkie, baha, Flat Earth Trucker and 2 others Thank this. -
Or they will refer you to someone, maybe

The employment problem is a tough one to tackle whatever the issue is. That's because it is very easy in court for the company to argument that "safety" or company policy was at hand.
The DOT matter is something lawyer's don't focus on much because there's no money in it as in civil penilty.
I'm just a truck driver my self and I beat lawyer's all the time in court over FDCPA, and FCRA issues because there isn't a lot of money in it for any lawyer or judge to have much interest in it not unless you can get a class action -
Why do you need a lawyer.
-
Because Covenant is preventing me from being hired by any of the major OTR companies.
-
Western Express may not care what Covenant says.
Many Craigslist companies won't care either. -
So they are doing you a favor? Find a company near the house that will actually treat you like a person and not just a number.Badmon Thanks this.

I’ve been driving for a small mom and pop operation for the last two years. I want nicer equipment, better facilities and the ability to travel the lower 48..maybe minus the east coast, lol.
