I think so also..ran the truck hard and it stopped leaking on the outside of the s pipe clamp.just going to run it on my tradeshows and save up for in frame

So far so good..ran 1500 miles to denver with my trade show and truck used maybe 1/4 cup of oil.maybe new seals in new turbo to a while to seat,who knowsRideandrepair Thanks this.

Mine was doing that bad, It was caused by worn rings valve seals and guides. When the injector went out, it got a lot worse, since it wasn’t burning the oil off. Here’s what we found. Cyl w/ bad injector, and worn valve guide seal.Check out the head bolt. Got almost 1.5 mil on an OH.Original Bull gear was still in tight @2.3 mil.

Wow..head bolt was like worn.As for my old truck i am trying to keep it going as long as I can before I do a in frame.Detroit parts are 7200.00 and labor at my shop is 2800.00.Rideandrepair Thanks this.

Where the heck are you buying your parts? Last time I bought an oem inframe kit at Detroit for a 12.7 it was about 2200.Rideandrepair Thanks this.

That was from freightliner in converse,tx..that price was head and all the other stuff.

That was today with all the oil from pipe at the muffler.but that was sitting at idle for 5 days due to hi idle switch not working in cold temps

Good thing is it only took 1/4 gallon of oil.bobtailed to the store and blew all the smoke out,then saw that crap on the pipe.will just run it till it burns off..or hit it was brake cleaner
