    Saw a us express truck run past the inspection in nevada on i80 westbound . Signs and lights flashing for a good 2 miles, its that inspection where ur sposed to " drive 5 mph and keep driving unless directed to stop and pull into bay" . And usually 3 or 4 cops sitting in cars staring u down, one of them places where u should never even think about making eye contact . Well i was first one in and 3 trucks behind me , out of the corner of my eye i see us express rolling down the highway like he never saw anything, there is no prepass at this place. well i broke the rule and made eye contact with the cops to see if they saw what i saw and they was not even paying attention , there was a truck in the bay getting inspected and thats where their attention was , all 3 of them. That us express driver was so lucky. Swear if i did that or anybody else we would be getting level 1 complete with full cavity search with no lube

    I have drivewyze and it always gives a green bit I still drive in don't trust it. They say you still have to pull into an open one. I won't be renewing when my contract expires because of it.

    If you get a bypass, why do you have to pull into the scale??

    that strap won't slip because it's bound against the first wrap then against the one below it and so forth until the strap is tightened. I've had plenty of inspections and they never check to see how it's wound. They hammer to see if it will sing, some get bent over a twist and some don't, they check to make sure its not frayed to a point where it could fail, they check to see that it can't be cut on the load. I've seen or heard of them caring about it folded in the winch. Must be a mega company training thing

    its when you take the strap and fold it then put it in the winch then tighten the strap up on the winch. It saves from pulling the whole strap through the winch before tightening it and then again when taking it off. It saves time and a lot if cranking a winch, especally on a low load where you may need only ten feet of strap.
    I short strap all the time plus I cut off 8 straps to go over double wide 4 foot high product that I haul all the time. It saves messing around rolling up a lot of extra strap. Especally when they are wet or frozen, easier to roll or throw

    Nevada DOT told me that they can and will come after you even if you have a green on drivewyze. So might as well just pull in.
