I have been licensed for CB for about 46 years and HAM almost as long ...
You will NEVER see me post things like " CHICKEN BANDER " since that is kind like using the "N" word and nither gets anyone anywhere .......

He even though he is caustic and sometims anoying still is tring to make a point .... that is there are rules ..... and he feels you need to at least TRY to follow them ......

PERSONLY ......

Since I use CB all the time have a good deal of contact with the average guy on that band and lissen to them and try to understand why they do things that they do ...... Remember I am a RADIO TECH FOR A SHERIFF OFFICE AT A JAIL ........ so obaying laws is something i tend to do .......

And as I have stated if people stay off 10 meters 99.999% of us hams don't care it''s not our call or problem that is up to the FCC .... And we know how good they are at their jobs .........

I think CW was his brother

CW is a very good mode which I'm not very good at but with very small receiver bandwith you can hear very weak stations unlike even SSB .... which takes 2 khz CW will work at 50 HZ ........

 

I just think it's funny... words on paper that are sent to the FCC don't scare me.. sorry...

Then your one of the few good ham ops. If you have been in the hobby for that long then i would think you have heard the derogatory comments made about CB operators as well.

Sure there are rules. It is one thing to try and inform others about the possible repercussions of disregarding those rules. But it something completely different when you sit up on your high horse talking down to others,belittling them while telling them what they NEED to do! An attitude like that only serves to piss people off, he knows it and enjoys doing it! It also does little to shine a positive light on those in and around the amateur radio Hobie.

FACT IS ...... 95% started ON CB ......

If a CBer stays off the Ham bands I don't have a problem with him but you well know some just got to go there and THAT's where the rub between most hams and CB gets started.

You can find me on CH21 about 5am weekdays or Ch13 on Sundays about 11am

For anyone who is a ham try 28.360 USB between 11AM and 2pm Sundays

I'm in a fight with the county over my antennas but as soon as that is solved I hope to have a R-7 up ......

When you say that the word Gadfly is owned by no one, you are right in a certain sense However in this particular post, you acknowldge that you are indicating the user who has the name Gadfly. In this essence, then the word is owned by the user and you have aimed your attack at him..albeit in disguise. refer to the above.
