Hi I have a 386 Pete 2012 and I’ve had nothing but issues now I’ve had shaking, vibrations and low power always downshifting every bump hill or mountain and still bad bout a little better. i had assumptions of the cause. So description changed rebuilt transmission 13 sp eaton, injectors changed , fuel pump, rockers, all sensors, ecm, harness, dpf harness changed, dpf filters good, air to air good, all wheels balanced and alignment done bushings changed batteries brand new drive Line all changed two sections are rebuilt one is new. Starter, alternator new, so all in all there are other things changed but now I’m getting as I turn at 10 km per hr left or right I get a clunk I thought it was shackles but they were verified and fine, I thought it could be the cab bending and hitting the cushions near the hood and knocking but I feel under my floor from the knock. This occurs on’y At Take off from the light at low speed or when entering a truck stop. Im also having trouble catching speed up to 100, and I was reading the comments on previous person mine seem similar. I noticed I have downshift a lot now from 13 to 12 then sometimes another half. And do hear a humming at cruise of 105 as well when glide down a hill or wil’ Hear a grinding metal ish sound. So I’m really Tired of spending money. Any clue?

Here is what I have done so far but clunking is still their when on and off the gas pedal it doesn’t matter what speed, even bobtail.
-New clutch and rebuild transmission, new engine mounts, new driveshaft slip-yokes and u-joints, new hanger bearing, rebuilt power divider, rear differential rebuild, all bushing on rear suspension is been replaced, new front shackle bushings and leaf spring, new throttle padel, new cab mounts and shocks. Spent at least 15k trying to fix this problem. Only thing is left is centre differential. It feels like their is a play somewhere in the driveline. Any clue? -
No clue. If you cannot stand it, sell it and get another truck.
Or keep throwing money at it. You are well on your way to a newer truck.
Ive had trucks with very high mileage in the past, the transmission is literally a sound of a rotating dryer with two buckets of bolts, washers and rusted metal inside of them. -
Did you ever figure out what it was?? Im having same thing happen with my super 10.
-
I had the same problem with my super 10 clutch hub on one disk was tore out.

Ah ok thats good to know, mines clunks when shifting to 7. Does it When i press the pedal and when I release it. As if someting has slack.

I have clunk in the tranny or maybe not i have not clue where is coming from, but i had it for 3-4 years at least, I tried to find what is causing that clunk on accelerating and decelerating but nothing. Replaced carrier bearing nothing changed clunk is still there. Maybe is the engine mounts idk but truck is running ok i got used to the clunk so now when i acc or decel i go slow on the pedal.
