Checked into my delivery today in IL and they had a wall of shame in the intake room. Just a bunch of pictures of guys who spilt milk all over the unloading bays. I would think that helps make other drivers more attentive during unloading.
TMC publicly shaming its drivers.

Anybody else remember when truckstops would display the bad checks they’d gotten at the fuel desk for all to see? Only to be taken down when the check writer paid the amount in cash? Always made for good reading while paying for fuel back in the day.

You see, I used to be a perfectionist myself, and you can say that I still am in certain ways. In this business, though, it’s very difficult to be a perfectionist and make very good money. So you do the best you can to be as profitable and as legal and safe as possible.D.Tibbitt Thanks this. -
You’re lucky. When I was at Stevens Transport, the only time we were allowed to use PC was when we did not have a trailer and were not under dispatch. This was usually after dropping a trailer at a meat plant or back at the company’s yard.D.Tibbitt Thanks this.

Well, how old are you? You speak like you were trucking in the 80s.

Some of the scale houses along the southern belt would have the “overweight truck of the day” or the “worst inspection of the week” or all the oos’s they did for the month on a bulletin board on the wall with a Instant Polaroid picture of the driver standing next to his rig. Fun times!

Something wrong with that?JolliRoger, magoo68, autopaint and 8 others Thank this.

No they didnt. Im calling bs on your statement. Any place in town that would shame their employees publicly like that, on a wall no less, wouldnt have any employees. And in a place like illinois youd have state labor on them like white on rice.
