@ChaoSS pretty much hit it. Titanium is less dense than steel, one strong reason for the bad edge retention. If it makes sense, less dense equates to a "softer" steel.D.Tibbitt, cke, FerrissWheel and 3 others Thank this.

Just straight argon shielding gas, no big deal.D.Tibbitt, cke and FerrissWheel Thank this. -
Titanium is not as hard as most people seem to think it is. Just light weight.
Not many blades made of titanium. Handles, scales, sure, but blades are not particularly common out side of certain types that require the properties of titanium. (Non magnetic, won't rust, light weight)Tb0n3, D.Tibbitt, FerrissWheel and 3 others Thank this. -
Monday's job. "oh you're going to the precast place"
ok, weather is coming in, freezing rain to turn to snow during the day, 1-3" in town, more in mtns"
well get a load or two and then we'll get cancelled out.
Get to precast place, oh you're going to Silverthorne. (over eisenhower, near the ski areas"
fudge
it's like a 6' wide double T. (no wings, which was real nice for the 100 mile drive cuz you can crank down the chains when you don't have the wings)
Get to silverthorne and it's sunny.
and i sit for 5 hours waiting for the crane, meanwhile weather moves in, starting to snow.
sucked coming back.
BTW that's a legal load in Colorado. trailers can be 57' long with a 10' overhang. It's obviously under 8'6" wide. the trailer is set to 55' with overhang on front and back. That double T was light, only weighed about 37,000lbsbooley, 1951 ford and PoleCrusher Thank this. -
Not our truck-- we brokered this out -- delivered to our shop.

What are these rolls? I see them every now and then but nobody ever has their radio on to answer my question. The skids up front said something about roofing but that could have been for a separate load. Either way, these always have class 3 placards. Thanks
D.Tibbitt, PoleCrusher and FerrissWheel Thank this. -
Torch down rolled roofing. The glue is in the boxes, that’s the flammable part to my understanding.booley, FoolsErrand, D.Tibbitt and 13 others Thank this. -
That makes sense now. Much appreciatedFerrissWheel Thanks this.
