Are you allowed to park there and if so, how safe would it be? I mean for your personal vehicle.

I have never been to Phoenix but all of our OCs allow driver POV parking. I have never had a problem with leaving my car.

The Phoenix OC is a secure facility. Been there many times. Never have heard of any issue. I would park my POV there without a second thought.

Do you drive for Schneider? I see you're in Oregon. Same as me. How's SNI been so far?

SNI has been OK. Was with them for years "back in the day". Returned to OTR with them awhile ago as a company driver. Couldn't stand the slow pace and went the IC route soon as I could. Finishing up my second lease soon.

Now I really, reallly liked the IC program, ran good miles and made decent money for years. Thought I would retire running as an IC with SNI. However the last year or two in the Western US I'd say 90% of the shippers that were my bread and butter runs are not on the load board anymore for one reason or another. Either the accounts were made dedicated or we no longer have them. For those reasons I'm going to hire on with a local (home daily) carrier sometime soon.

As a company driver at SNI I'd say there are plenty of opportunities available depending on what you want to do. Even as an IC if you find lanes that work for you. There are some dedicated accounts out of Portland that pay really well too if you can get on with them. Ask around the yard when you're there. Although nothing wrong with it, I'm pretty sure you can do better than the OTR grind if you want. Anyways I hope that helps and best of luck to you.
