Gigg transport in dire straits?

Not particularly about gigg but back in the fall during a discussion about Hyndman I was told there was another sizable Ontario Carrier on the ropes. No name was given but we speculated on who it might be and giggity was one of the top contenders.

I don't know if construction has started yet but if Gigg goes belly up it would be no great loss. The rumour has been out there for a long time so who knows.

 

I've been hoping charger would be next

 

I heard it was Titanium. But at the same time, rumours are rumours.

 

Charger or Lightspeed, that would be Xmas come early!

 

Friend of mine, was laid off Monday from Titanium, lack of work they said

 

I've herd rumours from reliable sources that charger has been going around Ontario under cutting everyone by half.

 

Yep, same thing People Express does out west here, also Lightspeed is doing it pretty cheap, and offering team service for less than most companies charge for single.

I'm back to pulling reefer, so seeing a lot of this going on. I got a raise over LTL Van, so i'm happy.

 

Just in Laredo, haven’t seen another Canadian truck since Dallas; Except Charger and Lightspeed. Charger has Lightspeed out numbered 10-1. Counted 34 Charger trucks between Austin and Laredo yesterday, currently 10 of them sitting at the Flying J. I walked the entire TA last night at 9pm, and I’m the only Canadian Truck. Charger is definitely doing it cheap, not a single Bison, TransX, ERB, Prince or CPX/Versacold Truck in sight.
