So what happens when one of the new trucks about 2 inches off the ground pulls in forward and takes is bumper off on the curb?

By the way, how do you guys grease those things and change oil? Do you actually go to the back of the trailer and slide the entire way to the front of the truck on your back?

Oh, wait you don't grease them. My bad. I suppose they change oil over a pit.

The cool thing on a truck is to have a chrome flip up bumper. Maybe eventually they will make a system like that.

    Rideandrepair Thanks this.

I’ve nosed in a few times if it’s an easy in and out spot. I pull a 48 flat, it doesn’t matter which way it’s turned it’s gonna take up the same amount of space

Ok nosing in didn't matter to me till today. A guy did on a 45 degree angle to me and left his tail out in front of me. He effectively took up at least three spots because if anyone would have parked in them I couldn't have got out. I was inside when he parked, and as soon as I realized what happened I quickly moved before someone backed in and blocked me in.

It was a long drop deck with a tail hanging off the back that could have hung 10 feet over the curb had he backed in, but no, the dude noses in and all but blocked me. So now I change my vote lol.

That's my whole thing. I feel like it's incredibly inconsiderate given that you may be sticking out and inconveniencing other folks or you just start backing out from in between two trucks totally blind essentially saying #### everybody and their safety. 'If I run someone over or back into a truck that might be passing by, oh well screw em I hope they're paying attention to me and my truck, because get the #### outta my way that's why.' I noticed people mentioning pull thrus that's totally different and doesn't count. That ain't a nose in it's a pull thru lol

I hear you, but this problem has more to do with the driver being inconsiderate and even dumb as he has not only blocked other drivers but also himself. You have to be smart whenever you nose in.

Inconsiderate drivers will block others whether or not they nose in. There are plenty of drivers out there who have their hoods sticking out too far out only because they didn’t feel like getting out to look and see how far back they can back up. Now there’s a newbie struggling to back up at night and still going at it after 15 minutes.

I can fix a mirror good enough to get moving in an hour. A hood, radiator, bumper, charge air cooler, grill, grill surround, headlights, headlight bucket turn signal takes much longer. Not to mention all the hassle involved in explaining to my customer that their load they need in 3 hours is now going to be several weeks late.
