Not always drop and hook. FFE isnt that BAD, but be careful with a grain of salt with them. If you can get into Plasma... (You ask for this one...) you will be pretty busy.FloridaBoy93 Thanks this.

Yes,the OP will kill his potential career probably before it even gets going, with the $300 Dodge Neon, parked in the way and Rodney giving him "bad directions" on how to enter the Strip Mall. Plus its hard working with "minimum wage" store employees that Dont give a ..... JMO

I’ll look into magnum, according to their website they don’t hire from Florida either. I think I’m gonna try hogan. If not I’ll try freymiller. Then magnum. If none of those work out then idk. I was thinkin western express but I ain’t heard nothin good about em.

Any luck with Magnum? -
As someone who ran with the Dollar General account, I'm going to tell you this. DG is rapidly expanding its chain of stores without expanding its fleet of trailers to accommodate. The trailers and liftgates they have are in pretty serious disrepair. Between the brake linings, the electrical systems, etc. Everything is old, obsolete, broken, with the occasional brand new reefer. Several trailers are "franken-trailers" which are old 53's cut down to a smaller size and retrofitted with a diesel generator/cooling system. These trailers are difficult to maneuver with.
Do yourself a favor, skip this account, get transferred to OTR or literally any other account that is no-touch facility/facility. The parking lot ####ups are not worth it, and if you run into issues, Werner WILL burn you, just like they burned me, and they WILL blacklist you. I would know, I've been experiencing it the past month since they fired me the week before Christmas.
Any OSHA violations you witness, photograph and save for later. DG dock jockeys have a habit of overloading the rolltainers, #### will fall on your head, and if you're hauling reefer, the milk-rolltainers will almost always be overloaded with about 1200lbs of barely contained milk.
To rephrase, they are literally breaking their own equipment to force as much product onto them as possible, and no matter how many times I forwarded images and reports to my fleet managers, they ignored the issue, and DG didn't change anything.
TL;DR: My advice, do a firm pass on this account, it's not worth it, the pittance they offer is NOT worth risking your CDL, period.BUMBACLADWAR and FloridaBoy93 Thank this. -
I applied, never heard from them. Perhaps I’ll give them a call tomorrow.
