Ya not sure if they changed payroll person but missing layover and loading/unload delay also. Now am going through my statements for the last three weeks to make sure am not missing mile pay either. The statement are put in a way to make it hard to read and know what you are missing without spending a length of time
-
I write down everything I do and then compare it to my check every Friday. Mistakes are common since pay isn't hourly or simple. It adds up to thousands of dollars missing over 5 years. I just e-mail the office clerk.ulenie Thanks this.

You are doing better than most drivers, some drivers are doing a lot of sitting

really? I have...One thing I've been doing is entering a FULL 6 digit number. Since we are on 'low numbers', example: 6889...I'll enter in 006889. I'd try to do that. Just a suggestion!ulenie Thanks this.

my main problem, has been getting a trailer and NO hoses OR caps at terminals! High Point I always have plenty of hoses but NO CAPS! I need caps more than anything!
-
I hoard caps. If I go to a terminal that has plenty of caps, I get a bunch. Most likely the next trailer pickup location will have no hoses or caps. The hose situations is really terrible at Superior.
-
If they're washing the hoses at a terminal, they should have the caps. Unless it's after hours and you can't get to the cap box (the round plastic tub). I always keep at least five 2's and five 3's for that reason. Never had much trouble finding hoses though.

Got a few minutes with Colby Nichols today in Markham. I believe he's number three in the food chain for Heniff. Here's what I got.
This is going to be a long process. We're talking two to three years before we get to an end state. Currently the priority up top is getting the back-office integration up and running. That really doesn't impact us as driver's.
The first thing us drivers will see is the change over to People Net. That's on schedule for Q2 to Q3 of this year.
Pay answer: Nothing is changing anytime soon. At the earliest January 2021, if I understood correctly, but could be longer than that. There is a very real possibility that drivers will have a choice to have either percentage or milage as we are now. We didn't get into details on layover, demerge, bunk pay etc.
401K: they are looking at it down the road and haven't made a decision. It will remain how it is for the foreseeable future.
Communication/dissemination of information: they do realize the frustration down at our evel. The problem is that they don't want to put anything out that isn't concrete. Bob Heniff is looking at doing an update every two months. Be patient.
The overall message is that keeping the drivers functioning as close to the way we have is the goal. The name on the side of the truck is of little concern to Bob. "Superior wasn't purchased as a fixer upper," is a direct quote.
Not sure if this helps, but that's what I got.
One last thing. As far as Superior pulling Heniff loads and vice versa, that's going to happen if there's an available driver nearby who can fulfill the load. It'd be foolish not to do that.Last edited: Feb 10, 2020
slim shady, DEllis, Truemac and 2 others Thank this. -
Thanks, I just heard that Markham Mechanics and Tank Wash just got raises, so was hoping the drivers would too, but from what you've said that doesn't sound like it's going to happen any time soon. Right now it's saving Heniff money keeping things the way they are. LOL, That's too bad was looking forward to a bump in income
