The problem in the picture in the first post is related to the satellite signal for GPS, neither WiFi nor cellular have anything to do with that. There are certain interrelated functions, but for GPS they don't get the satellite signal via WiFi or cellular.
If it won't reset, then it's possibly a software or internal antenna problem. I would actually disconnect it from any other signal source (if possible, I don't know that unit) and see if that makes a difference.

Try to upgrade the software. You need a computer for that (by connecting GPS to PC with USB cable and following on screen instructions).

Press the lower left hand corner and the power switch at the same time . This will force a restart . Will need to hold both for like 20 sec. Should cure your issue .

Mine does the same thing. I hold the power button in for like 45 seconds, it restarts a couple times and usually restores the signal. I've done everything to try to fix it but I've been unsuccessful. Happens about once a month or so. More in bad weatherWespipes Thanks this.

Do what I did, get rid of that pos and get a good one.
My garmin could not route itself out of a box. -
What do you use? I thought this was the good one lol

My Garmin DEZL 770 does the same thing, when at the bottom of the windshield. I had it at the top for a while and it did not do it. I prefer it at the bottom, so I deal with it. It only happens once every few days. A quick power off and on fixes it. It is annoying.

I moved mine to the top. Hasnt done it again since. I agree I like it at the bottom too

I'm gonna get in and just run them both lol
