Not all of these are good reasons.
    The cold, sure, understand that.

    Good idea. Been there/done that.
My friend in Tennessee already set himself up for retirement in Philippines. He's also a trucker. Beautiful woman already waiting for him there. Spends his vacations there and last trip married her. For the present they're renting a nice condo in Philippines.

Yes, you can save that much in 3 years. One driver that posts on here has done that with FFE (Frozen Food Express) out of Texas.

The river flows both ways. Many of us would prefer to escape the bad politics, mosquitos, oppressive heat/ humidity, LA style traffic, relatively poor scenery, hateful stressed out people, bible thumping, ways of much of Tejas and enjoy everything and little of that it Nevada, or even parts of California for that matter.

Now that the cost of living has skyrocketed, I do not see the allure of Texas AT ALL. I am a native North Texan BTW.

This is one of the reasons I am going to OK. Small town life outside of OKC area.

Thats us. And the spouse at the time was a former marine sgt. The last time she had work to do was when they handed her a number of marine infantry in a squad as part of a platoon being held as replacments for Desert Storm during the shooting phase of that war. She was pretty good about keeping food and fluids in the truck.

Once in a while on a regular basis we did have a half day or so to eat properly just to be sure to fill in what might be missing in way of nutrition, morale etc. It really helped us maintain our pace in team reefer with FFE and later with Medicines over a long period of time without getting too burned out etc.

Most people wanting trucking money like tens of thousands per year stacked fail to consider that the truckstop could cost them 10,000 in food and other costs for that year. They can cut down on that very much if they are careful.

You wont believe what I am spending each month on just me in food, very little. Thats for 30 days. I am getting ready to crank up the buying of food items against whats coming later this year.
