Would the wife be happier with 20% more to the house. Most O/Os it’s 50 to 55 yours to keep.? So if your at 30% you are leaving some on the table. But like you say it works for you.

Dave, I guess I'm not being really clear here. But, yes, after everything to the TRUCK it's around 51%...to the TRUCK.....not all deductions. Get it?
Dave_in_AZ and CaptainDaveG Thank this. -
what kind of wife do you have that’s ok with coke and hookers?
Or trim and windows for that matter??tommymonza Thanks this. -
Fascia, Soffit, and windows was the wife's project.....maybe trying to backdoor the whole Hookers and coke thing. But this year, I'm set
tommymonza, Dave_in_AZ and GYPSY65 Thank this. -
That appears to be his settlement sheet from Schneider so it's only gonna have the deductions Schneider takes.Dave_in_AZ and Opus Thank this.

There's more to it than that. Giving up 25-30% can be a good thing if you're getting enough in return for your money. I give up 10% but I pay for everything it takes to run the truck. I mean everything. I wouldn't have any extra expenses of I had my own authority. I see value in what I get in return for my 10% so I don't mind paying it.
Also, guys that are running for 65-75% are doing just as good as I am at 90% right now cause they are pulling contract freight with good rates and I'm pulling spot rates which suck at the moment.Opus Thanks this. -
That would be Mag Carriers. Where this thread began. You can surf other boards and if you find something you like and they're ok with it, rock on.Dave_in_AZ, RStewart and jsnell Thank this.

Oh it dried up, it's as dry as the Arica Chile, that's why I'm here.RStewart Thanks this.

You also need to consider your time has value, going through the BS of your own authority takes time.
Also, what happens if you get in a horrific accident, and they go through your logs and ask, "I don't see any on duty time for all the paper you're suppose to be doing here." They can technically do it, all time associated with work must be logged.Dave_in_AZ and GYPSY65 Thank this.
