WOW I bet you sure thought it was extremely funny at the time you did it. Just to get even or vent your anger...but now it isnt so funny anymore..Like I tell my kids any and everything you do will come back to you one day..
I truly wish you the best of luck. However I would suggest if you have 16 years in the military YOU REENLIST and finish out for the 20 year retirement. Cuz chances are you will never be in a big truck.

Chances are that he was in the military before the false bomb threat. And i highly, highly doubt that he would be allowed to reenlist becuase of the false bomb threat charge.

Multiple Launch Rocket System Crewmember eh? Very cool system.

Order a copy of your DAC report at

    http://www.hireright.com/CDL-Driver-Reports.aspx

It is my understanding that this is the same source that most large companies use for pre-screening.

I'm not a driver but I ordered mine just to see what was in it. They do a criminal back ground check. Your previous criminal record may not even be on record anymore, and may not be an issue for you in 4 years.

In your case since it was a misdemeanor (so you claim), then it might not be an issue to begin with with some companies.

A false bomb threat, and now you are working artillery. Wow, the irony...

Anyways, in the current environment, it's gonna be very difficult to get a company to listen. They've got 20 spotless-record applicants for every 5 trucking jobs. So it's a lot easier for them to chunk your app and move on to the next. Sucks, but that's the way it is right now. But if your are talking 4 years from now, then the situation could very well be reversed. Not too long ago, it was easy for a multiple felon to get a tgrucking job due to the big driver shortages. You might want to spend the next 4 years working with an attorney to get that charge removed from your record (expunged, etc.), before you apply to companies and start your DAC record. Then it won't even be an issue.

But WHY are you contacting companies and talking about your record 4 YEARS before you even plan to start a trucking career??????

The only time that paper might help you is if the company needs it's drivers to have a clearance from the start. For example I know that some companies that haul diesel out of Las Vegas go out in the desert to places that do not exist. And then it's only a confidential clearance. I came out with the highest you could get unless you were a diplomat or worked in communications and all it showed was my previous work situation. But in your case you do not want to use past life experiences so that paper and a $1.50 will get you a cup of coffee. Besides I believe you'll need a presidential pardon for your terrorist activities to not be considered for work.

Don't let 'em push your buttons mlrs270. For some people, their only enjoyment in life is to create misery for others on the internet.
