Welp, guess I am NOT a flatbedder anymore. Last flatbed load was monday. I been pulling ######## containters all week locally. And by locally i mean 20 miles is the furthest. Getting close to losing my truck. Any flatbed company recomendations in the Houston area?

I've seen quite a few ads for flatbed work in the oilfields down there lately.Simplespeed Thanks this.

It's crossed my mind but i would most likely have to move my family to midland/odessa. My wife works full time and has worked herself into her salary so moving would be a big hit. I have thought about it though.Odin's Rabid Dog and PoleCrusher Thank this.

Look at getting yourself a 40ft or so flat with a moffet and deliver brick, block, lumber, shingles, septic tanks and building stone to jobsites. You can be local, home every evening and pretty cheap intrastate insurance with no mc# or logs (i think)

Double check to see if it’s welded. One of my trucks is a t680 that when first looking thought that airline connector was welded, upon further inspection their is a clamp that has one bolt and you can loose it and slide it frontwards or backwards. May have to cut a couple of zip ties to free the airlines from the harness in the frame.Simplespeed Thanks this.

That is exactly what i did. I slid it forward a few inches and the box i got from harbor freight fits well behind it. The new problem is that the trailer brushes the air lines when turning. So, i gotta figure that out now. I'll snap a pic when i get to the truck today.

I woukd like to get the air hoses mounted somewhere else like a freightliner has them mounted under the cab. At least until i can get a headache rack, more catwalk decking and a nicer air line box and pogo stick.

I wonder if 90° elbows coming straight off the box would work if if it would restrict airflow. It would point the hoses out of the way of the trailer.
