Experience will tell what you need, I use my 3 footers daily once and a while I wish they were longer but usually they're plenty.

Wonder if it wasn't a generic sticker.
-
Maybe an Ats sticker. They seem to like stickers on everything, everywhere.

Fleet farm has 20ft g70 1/2in with 2 hooks for $100. Sound like a good price? Online i was seeing $5 plus for bare chain. Hooks 20 each extra.
-
Doesn't sound to bad, I buy American made chain this isn't the place to pinch pennies.
-
Good point.
Now if i can just keep a rgn and stay away from flats/steps.
Thanks for the guidance guys. -
I carry 8 five ft 1/2 in chains with slip hook on one end. And 8 ten ft 1/2 in chains with slip hook on one end. And all ratchet binders at 16000 lb rating for 1/2 in chains with a slip hook on one end and removable regular hooks when needed. I use my 5 ft chains 99% of the time.
Oxbow and northernhopper Thank this. -
Jd where he's at, they are banned from using slip hooks. Even the ones with clips. That may have changed in the last month, but some fool years ago bought light weight rated slip hooks and lost a ld. I got in trouble many times with them over that when I was there. Even pulling my own trl.
They also would get pissy about hooking into the side of the frame with hook or binder. Even if you had it against a out rigger bracket.
Again a Darwin driver messed up and all got punishedOxbow, snowman_w900, northernhopper and 1 other person Thank this. -
