Got my 1099 in today from Schneider. My question is, its for a lot more than I made. Do they add ur lease payment and insurance and fuel into that? I've got a 1099 the last 2 years with another company and it was for what my settlements came out to yearly. Tried searching but couldn't come up with anything.
Any info guys? thanks

1099 is total gross REVENUE. Sounds like the other place did it a screwy way, no expenses are supposed to be reflected on a 1099Pork Chop Express Thanks this.
-
It will include any sign on bonuses or tractor lease incentives.
Pork Chop Express Thanks this. -
1099 is your gross revenue before any business deductions. Sounds like who ever you were with may not have filed correctly. Can't say for sure without a LOT more info.
My best advice for you is to find a good accountant, a real full time CPA not some h&r blockhead type, that has experience with trucking businesses taxes.Pork Chop Express Thanks this. -
I was wrote up 3 times for over speed and I was told to clean out my truck and go home at Schneider national

Good to hear. But what does that have to do with a 1099?
-
Did you finally get the message about overspeed?TBonze, exracer941 and jakecat22 Thank this.
-
No as I'm playing Sammy Hagger I can't drive 55 on the 8 track.
-
