122SD shifting too high

We have a new 122sd with a dd15 and a 13spd auto smartshift. When taking off, the engine revs up from 1800-2000rpms between shifts. Doesn't matter if we are bobtail or hauling 100000lbs. Rear end is 3.58 with 22.5" rubber. Has anybody else had this problem? We are going to see if the tech guys at the dealer can change the programming and get it to shift more progressively. Just wondered if someone out there has dealt with this issue.
