It all depends on what rates they charge. 15% of nothing is nothing. And what is net ? Find out their rates, but as a rule a percentage job pays more than 15 %, especially a 1099 job..Find out more to make a good call, but sounds low.
HeWhoMustNotBeNamed and Speedloader Thank this. -
i thought it was a little low, but fair, taking into consideration they will be training me. then later i can cash in on my training. i'll find out more tomorrw.

If you are driving their truck and do not have say in the loads you are an employee. Do not let them pay you without withholding taxes correctly.
bullhaulerswife, KANSAS TRANSIT and Colorato Thank this. -
sound fair MH60L?? its on me to take taxes out.

There's to many reputable companies that will train you and pay you well. IMO any owner that pays off a 1099 is scamming you.
KANSAS TRANSIT, chopper103in and bullhaulerswife Thank this. -
i agree most people that take a 1099 job dont realize theyre tax obligation. cost me $5K a few years back when i was landscaping never ever again like said earlier way to many jobs out there that will train u with BETTER pay and will take taxes out for u not to mention if u get hurt at work a lot of the time a 1099 job means NO workers comp unless u buy pay for it and it aint cheap not to mention social security later down the road
BTW 15% is chump change going rate with a reputable company is 25%-32% and again always check the ratesColorato and bullhaulerswife Thank this. -
