So long story short I got clocked going a whopping 28 mph over in my car, I knew I was speeding but I didn't realize I was going that fast. Cop cut me some slack because of the horror I had in my face when he said I was going 28 over, knocked it down to 19. So 74 in a 55. I hired a lawyer but DAs will not work with truckers and speeding tickets whether it's in your own personal vehicle or CMV because of the new federal anti-masking law, so I plead guilty and I guess in my guilty plea there won't be any points added to my record, I don't even think that really matters. Over the time period of just trying to get into court I had moved and transferred my license from GA to PA (was convicted this past Friday, charged Nov 2021) so the ticket would be under my expired GA license which I'm assuming they'll transfer to my PA one?

I work for a small local company but trucking isn't their bread butter, distribution is, they just use trucking to mitigate the cost of brokering loads which they broker a lot, the company makes a lot of lol. These people love me because of my willingness to go above and beyond and I know that if their premium gets bumped up they'll pay extra just to have me on board, but that's the problem I'm struggling with is their insurance company going to be willing to continue to insure me with such a hit on my record? I started driving when I was 23 and I'm 31, in my entire career this is my only ticket, no accidents, no seatbelt tickets, nothing.

I know it's not the end world considering how much experience I have at my age but it'll be heartbreaking if their insurance company doesn't want to insure me, my company already knows everything about my ticket and gave me 2 days off to go get it taken care of and come Monday I'm going to tell our HR lady what will be coming my way.

Does anyone know how this could affect my current position with my company?

Also wanted to add that this ticket wasn't classified as a reckless driving instance the offense was just called "speeding not over 35mph, 74 in a 55"

Your HR lady will let you know. Your co's insurance will have a say in the matter.

I had some thing like this with my private car. I liked the idea of Traffic Ticket Lawyer California | Attorney For Traffic Court Tickets In Los Angeles Ca | Speeding, DUI & Accident Lawyers | The Ticket Clinic .
This was a clear case. It should be a hopeless case for me. I payed about 2 years ago 400$. They sent a lawer to the justice and I got a lot of emails from them "Your case becomes continued in xx weeks. The last email which I got showed "Your case is gone, every thing is fine".
I liked this idea. Pay them for the lawer and they do all for You. You don*t have to go to the justice. Was a super easy deal.

    So, 83 in a 55 zone.

How do you not realize you are going that fast?

I got caught for doing 94 in a 70 in my personal car back in the fall of 2019. Only blemish on an otherwise stellar background. Paid a lawyer to fight it and still don't know what happened with it. I ended up getting a solid job at a great company but only because that ticket was more than 3 years old at the time I applied. Time will make it better. Just don't do stupid again. Yeah I been there so I can say that. All you perfect drivers lay off. I'm sure you never speed anywhere right? Hahaha

Everyone knows how fast they are going.

I had over s dozen speeding tickets before I turned 18, and I knew exactly how fast I was going every single time.
So did the CHP, even without radar.
