I don’t know about the hood. I know someone with a similar Truck, might be an 87 or 89. He mentioned once that if he ever needs a hood, he’s in trouble. I could contact him. Been a few years. Don’t know if he still has the Truck. He was running it and restoring it. He should know quite a bit about parts availability by now.

They offered aluminum and fiberglass as options for a few years. But a later fld classic "2000" hood does not direct swap. With out major sheet metal work. I've only seen flc hoods put on to fld cab. Labor intensive. But so many little parts interchange on all flc, fld trucks. Find a good truck salvage yard and go picking. Parts are not hard to find in my area. And with a competent parts guy at FL. Most all available through FL. Some lazy parts guys will tell you it's not avaliable.

The early FLC hoods with the round headlights were aluminum, not sure what year they switched to fiberglass with the square headlights in the fenders. There are some used ones out there if yours can’t be repaired.

Not being a huge fan of the Frieghtliners I think they changed to the square headlights in the fenders & fiberglass hoods maybe 80 or so I know by 83 they were fiberglass

They didn’t do aluminum hoods for very long but I have no idea of the years. All I know is the FLD120 came out in 1988. And that started the decline of Freightliner because that’s when they started going after the big fleets to buy them. Lol.

70's till at least 86 aluminum was available. Wanna say they stopped offering them about 1988. Flc 120 set forward axle was built to 1990, or 91. Insurance companies pushed for the glass. Less cab, Cowl damage in collision.
