trying to figure this one one out. Cruiseuise control works, but randomly just shuts off. Then, once it shuts off, it won't turn back on for a while. I've played with the clutch and brake pedals and they have no effect. also, the time it takes before it will turn back on is always different. any ideas?

Check the main harness going over the engine from the right side of the firewall to the engine ECM on the left side of the engine. The harness is famous for rubbing through on valve covers and other engine brackets, or even the back of the fire wall. Do you have an ISX engine?

i'm having the same problem. Which switch would you replace first? The cruise on/off switch or the set/resume switch?

I understand not everyone wants to spend money to have these issues professionally diagnosed and repaired, but to blindly throw parts at your truck is just plain stupid!!!
