    The OP didn't say ISM, he said ISX, and those started getting EGR in 03-04. This should be a CM 870.

    The EGR started in 04. The DPF started in 07. That's 07 manufactured engines. For the most part the 07 year model trucks are not DPF but 08's are due to the fact most 07 trucks have 06 manufactured engines.

    I have an 07 Western Star with a Cat engine that does not have a DPF (diesel particulate filter). The engine manufacture date is marked 06 but the truck is an 07. I have looked at a lot of trucks and I have yet to see an 07 model with a DPF. I don't doubt there are some out there but I have not seen them.
    Buy the way I just bought a new Fitzgerald glider and have the 07 Western Star for sale.

    what truck is she and is it a 500hp detroit 1650tq. ? thanks for all the replies guys. i might go look at it monday if its still for sale. thanks again.
