2006 freightliner columbia vpod problem
Detroit engine 14 L
The truck feels like it has no power especially when going up a hill
first time i had this problem i put a used vpod from the salvage yard, truck drove from OH to NJ ok, then when started to drive back from NJ to OH the problem started again,
Took the truck to a mechanic he made diagnostic with his computer program, and he said the problem was with the vpod.
this time i bought a new vpod from the freightliner dealer, again truck drove from OH to NJ ok, then when started to drive back from NJ to OH the problem started again,
please help
thank you

the electrical connector to the vpod is a common problem.you can buy just the connector from detroit diesel.if not,you must check continuity on each of the wires from vpod to ecm connector.good luck.

What qualitytruck said. Check the connector to the vpod for spread pins. I have also seen quite a few vpods out of the box bad. It has gotten bad enough to where I have made a harness to bench test them before I install them.
