When getting ready to hit the road one morning I noticed that some of my running lights were not on. The led lights under the passenger door are working, both air cleaner sets of led lights are working along with the strip of led lights under the front bumper.
The lights on the visor, front clearance lights and everything to the rear are not working including the trailer. Turn signals, brakes and headlights all work.

Been looking for a bad ground or positive wire touching ground with no luck. If I disconnect the battery and reconnect it then turn on the running light switch all of the lights will work for about 20 seconds then go out. I checked the fuse panel but didn't see anything amiss. Also checked the connections and wiring to the body controller and it all looked fine.

Am thinking about buying a new body controller I really don't know if it is bad.

    Any suggestions would be appreciated..

Do not buy a body controller. The body controller directly powers those lights and also acts like the fuse. It can detect how much current is being drawn and will kill power to those circuits. To reset it, simply perform a key on/off cycle. To troubleshoot, you need to find the short. It is best to disconnect sections at a time to see which branch is killing them. 99% of the problems are usually outside. Check for wiring that has rubbed through on the inside of visor, and your tail lights.

Hello everyone, I just thought I would give you an update.
I had several mechanics look at the problem, most thought there was a problem in the wiring harness. The last person to look at it was under the coach for about fifteen minutes and found the problem. Main ground going to the starter, always started fine so never thought to look at that.
The main ground had been getting hot through the years and had gotten hard and stiff. After replacing the ground no more problem, yea!
