I have a 2011 international 4300 durstar automatic with hydraulic brakes. whenever it gets hot outside, and i pull the e brake, it engages but it doesnt register as if its engaged and it continues to beep when I engage the PTO. That is very annoying because I need to set the cruise control for the bed to move faster and the winch to have power to pull up a car. someone please help me because its driving my crazy. Thank you

Switch for that is under the cover panel on the cab floor there. Take it off by remove a couple small bolts that need a 10mm socket. See if the switch is too far away or mis-adjusted to the handle.

I mean it works some times. Especially when it's cold... I noticed when my temperature shows about 90 it stops registering that the e brake is engaged.. but I'll go check it out right now. So you remove the cover for the e brake and it should be there?

Yep, just a little contact switch. One small bolt straight down and the other is at the bottom on the side and that cover lifts straight up.

Ok thank you. I think I figured out the problem. That magnetic switch was full of metal shaving/dust and I cleaned it out. And just to make sure that it was that issue, when I had the cruise control on, I placed a piece of metal on it and it would do the same exact thing. Thank you very much for the infoHeavyd Thanks this.
