Just picked up a new 389 with a ISX 600, says on the engine 1850 peak torque. how long has it been sense the 600's were 2050 peak torque? can they be flashed to 2050 torque? would there be a noticeable differance? Anyone else running one of these? good or bad?
thanks
2012 isx 600

You can get the ISX with either 1850 or 2050tq. As far as flashing it to 2050 im not sure but if it is possiable but if it is you will prob. need to wait till the warranty is up. Your drive line is only rated for 1850. As far as it actually handling the extra power it should be fine but will void the drive line warranty if it is possible to turn it up.

1850 is 580..
only the Signature ISX is 600/620/625 and 2050.. -
It's got the big driveline. 46k rears, lowboy spec truck, seen a few isx 600's all were 1850 torque. Truck will spend its life movin heavy equiptment, any extra will help

Here is a small amount of trivia about cummins and the isx.
the series I top non signature was 565 ( which puts down 545ph to the wheels, thus putting it to around 600 at the crank.
the series II had the very same tune rebadged as a 580.
obvioulsly the new tune has been called the 600 because that is the top 1850 tune available. the next step is 2050/625 -
i had a 565 to 1800rpm i went to cummins they open to 2100rpms this was to 600

LOL, thats one of many reasons i dislike cummins..
Dont make actual powercurves, just different limits. -
I have an ISX 530 hp 1850 tq 18 speed, 46 k rears with 3.91s and 11.r 24.5s. Its far from the baddest thing on the road but it dose real good. I gross 107,000 LBS every load and pull up 12% grades. I would feel comfortable moving much more weight with this set up so your 70 more hp should let you move any thing you want.

It'll be on the road in the next couple weeks, hopefully the roads are a little cleanerby then. It is different alltogether from the 2010 isx we have, this has what looks like external injector lines, much larger radiator, different turbo,etc.. guess time will tell. havent found much info on this

I believe that the 2010 600hp rating ISX's get a different head, different cam, and a larger turbo than the rest of the ISX's. Yes you can go into a Cummins distributor and get them to load a 2050 ft lb rating into you engine ecm. This will not void the warrenty if they do it. You will notice a difference on the hills, that is about it. It may only be 3-5 mph though.
