So have a issue with a newly purchased used truck.

    2012 international terrastar

Issue- after driving a couple mins and getting on highway, the brakes seems to lock or stick. Then because if the dragging the warn engine displays on the dash and the yellow triangle appears.

so far replaced rear brake pads, front brake lines, front calibers, front pads.

No ABS light or other warning lights.

many pointers on what it could be.

Are you sure its sticking brakes and not an engine de-rate?

    Smoke coming from the brakes.

also after it happens, I turn off the truck and back on. Put into drive or reverse, no brake or gas Pedal, truck doesn’t move. After it cools down for 30-40 mins. When I put in drive it moves. Would derate cause that?

The first 2 times it happened it was the front. This last time it was the rear brake.

Would that apply the brakes and issue no warning light or error codE?
