    I got same code. 2010 volvo. The DEF dose injector on the bottom of canister under passenger side catwalk was leaking took it out, cleaned, regen. Good to go

    I got job done on egr valve, nox sencer, after treatment dosing valve and clear all codes. but spn 5394 fmi 4 comes once I stop. It happened 2 times. Help me plz

    Hi, That code can have many sources, egr system malfunction, defective nox sensors,engine related problem (turbo, injectors) and low SCR efficienty.
    It's not always the same answer on all trucks depends how hard the truck is pulling. No sure or easy answer.
    A truck who is always pulling light trailler is more sensitive to have problem with aftertreatement system, because to work fine the aftertreatment system need a lot of heat come from the engine then the engine need to burn fuel to generate heat, during cold weather season it's worst, then like i said earlier the best way that i know is to run a long road test with hard pulling with the lap top and monitor many information and then we can figure out what's wrong but it require a good back ground of road test to pin point the problem. . .
