2014 Pete with MX-13, deleted. My instrument cluster has been acting up since I owned the truck. It started with the red warning lights blinking for a few seconds at the time maybe once a month. It progressed to frozen gauges (never the RPM or speedo, just the small ones). They would freeze but release after the truck was off for a few minutes. Some mornings they stay dead after startup, but come back to normal after a few minutes... The truck runs fine, no codes or check engine and so far they always straighten out.
I haven't done the 30 minute battery disconnect because the issues resolved on their own.
Is the CECU going bad?
If need replaced can it be programmed before install?
Anyone had similar issues and what was the fix?
Thanks.

I have a 2013 Kw. Anytime i have had issues with anything controlled by cecu I have pulled both fuses out of panel for cecu wait a second and reinstall. So far that has always done the trick. May be you need to replace entire unit but it's an easy way to reboot the thing and see if it helps in the short term.

Clean and tighten your grounds behind the dash and add extra cab to frame grounds.
It may help or not but can't hurt and is a way to kill a day off on the road.frankdtank Thanks this. -
Have you asked Peterbilt to hook to it with the Paccar ESA and update it? I believe they can update them, and it might fix your issue.

It's worth a shot and will look into that. Thanks

You're welcome. Hopefully that will fix it up.
