This article does a pretty good job of bringing you up to date:

Yes, they are available, yes there are companies that need and are buying them. Yes there are drivers who like them, and most of all
Yes, there are owner operators who make money by speccing a truck properly and efficiently.

Not for everyone of course. Only the smart ones...

If I worked the NE regularly you can bet a cabover would be my truck of choice, Argosy, 9670, 362, in that order of preference.

My dad is pulling the trigger on a glider, most likely from Hartford Freightliner. Any chance there's a place to test drive one? Rather than drop 130k and find out you wanted/didn't want an option. Yeah in the NE I'll be shocked if he still has to kill himself trying to do deliveries with a cab over.

I used to drive old argosy twice and I was dissapointed.Runs really rought, no air cab tilt, to climb a cab... like in Renault Magnum... how many drivers got ijuries falling down from these cabs. really the problem is that handles go wet and dirty in winter. It is a truck I have to throw in folder with papers after that I climb in cab!

Ok, good news - much cheaper than Actros ore Axor truck, simple design and reliable. Argosy cab meets European safety laws, but not so good like tought European cabs made of steel....

really when I realised that I need cabover I purchased Volvo FH COE. It is bad news, that Volvo does not offer cabover in NA

If I were in the market for a new truck, I'd jump on an Argosy glider in a heartbeat. Slot in an 18spd, single drive with rear lift axle, and a nice Rebel tuned Series 60 would keep me very happy.

Dont know about the argosy but modern European cabovers are smoother than any conventional, I'm sure the argosy ride has improved over old coes from the 80's. The forward set axle wouldn't help and I don't know weather the argosy has 4 point cab suspension but I'd like to try one, can't be worse than a century lol
