So im just about at my wits end over this. But i have an AC that no one seems able to fix. I have replaced the condensor compressor, expansion valve, dryer, evaporator, wireing, blend valves, control, fuse box, CCU, filters, filter houseing, had the vents professionally cleaned, accumulator relays fuses and a few other things. Coolant is at 3 pounds per the book, lines are new everything works as it should.

Basically the whole system at this point. It will blow ice cold for about 5-30 minutes then turn muggy and hot and absolutely pour water off the evap and only works at all at max ac. Hell i even replaced the replacment control. 5 diffrent dealers 3 road side shops and a specialist cant figure it out. Hell i even have checked for valves, the dealer has checked for valves and by all accounts it should work fine. im at a loss at this point.

Anything at all that im missing? Id love some help because 4 months at over 100F in the cab with no AC is getting insane and i simply am out of stuff to replace.

Just spitballin. I never use a machine to fill. Sounds obvious that it's freezing up.

Have you tried adding more freon? Symptoms say it's low on freon. Does it last longer with the blower on high?

Yup tried from 2 pounds upto 5 pounds and everything in between. It doesnt matter if its high or low. Only on max AC.

Did the problems start when a repair was made?

If it were mine, I'd be watching the gauges and see what they were doing with the fan on. Let it ride 30 minutes and see what they do.

I would expect on a hot day with what you describe, low side pressures dropping below 20, high side 110-130.

But that would be where I start. It has the symptoms of a low system, or low flow across the evaporator.

Do you have gauges you could put on it?

Not on me, but they did test pressures and everything was in the book specs the last 3 times it was in while it was 100+ out.

I don't doubt they said that, but I would still do it myself.

Obviously something is wrong. Don't overthink it, start from scratch. Mechanics miss stuff all the time.

@Heavyd for International. There was a thread today on a reefer where the evaporator drain was clogged causing icing.
    Thermo king s 600 HELP!!!!!!
Someone should watch the gauges and be tapped into the electronics and monitor for any changes when it starts to blow warm.
Is there an arrow on the dryer and is it installed in the proper direction?
