2019 ucr.... delayed ?

My agent told me that they are trying to raise the price of the UCR and that is why it is on hold. Like they need more money.

 

They are actually reducing the fees, so that revenues don't exceed the statutory maximum.

I expect the new rules to be published in the first week or two of January. They might surprise us and do it sooner, I don't think it will be much later because despite having too much money in the depository they will want to get it done.

 

Either way they will get our money

 

What is the ucr fee even supposed to pay for?
On that note, 2290 pays for what?

Yeah, I couldn't find out this neigher. I understand all other fees, permits etc. But UCR? Come on now. Where this money going to, and why Indiana collect it?

 

Another part of it that annoys me is the extra time and paperwork involved. For example. Why is ny hut an extra tax? Raise your fuel tax or have a split rate for trucks vs cars and scrap that extra paperwork. Roll ucr into 2290. Just make it simple. I feel like most of it is just for government workers to justify their existence. Give me a job digging holes and give you a job filling them in. Yeah that sure is productive.

didn't the same thing happen last year too or was that the year before?
