I am thinking of Buying a 22ft flatbed. Was just looking for some advice. Will I have trouble finding freight? Will I have to always just look for partial?

    Any help is appeciated

Straight job? if that's a trailer length then yeah, you'd want to be having a customer that can utilize the size efficiently and will pay a good rate. If it's a straight truck...I don't know much about finding that kind of freight, guess you're tare and gross weights could have a major effect on the freight you'd haul...

A 22' flatbed would be good for hauling single coils. Other than that, I don't see it being good for much else.

Everyone is looking to get as much as they can for as little as possible. I think you could pull emergency stuff with it and probably make more money than most 48'trailer pullers but you'd have to play your cards right.

I was thinking of even suggesting just working the LTL market, but most the loads these brokers post as LTL are 30' long and 35k pounds!!! Crazy stuff

The killer with the short trailer is the bridge law. Unless it's at least a tri-axle he's not going to be able to "legally" haul crap. Not saying that guys don't, there's more than a few B-trains broken apart and hauling some pretty big loads on just the 28' spread axle pup.

That's what I was thought he was talking about, a 3-4 axle pup trailer. If it is a tandem then you'd barely be able to haul a pickup truck.
