Recent build in a 350 small cam. Exchanged injectors and rebuilt heads. Noticed excessive white smoke, slight miss sound and fuel coming out of the exhaust manifold at the front 3 piece union. Pulled turbo and exhaust manifold, started engine and #2 is producing lots of white smoke and fuel. All other exhaust ports looked fine. Went deeper and pulled #2 injector and o-rings look good and are new. Any ideas?

Are you 100% certain the valves were adjusted correctly there?
About the only possibilities are low compression or bad injector -
Yes, I’m definitely sure. I set the injector first at 72”lbs or 6’lbs, then exhaust .023 and intake .011.
MACK E-6 Thanks this. -
Double check adjustment. Swap injector to another cylinder. Does the miss fire go with the injector?
Big Road Skateboard, MACK E-6, Goodysnap and 4 others Thank this. -

Low compression can be valves leaking as well as rings not seated. Did you notice any excess blow by from the crankcase vent tube?
As mentioned earlier swap that injector with another hole and see if the smoke / fuel follows the injector….MACK E-6 Thanks this. -
Bad injector push tube?
OLDSKOOLERnWV Thanks this. -
Did you have the Jakes on it yet?
Maybe wrong adjustment there is holding the exhaust valve off is seat… -
Not likely, does it ring when you bump it against a piece of steel? If so it’s not taking on oil….SmallPackage Thanks this. -
Is it only at idle? Will it do it with a load on it?
