    If memory serves me right a tatami if I last recall was mat woven and it was used to tell how big a room was by the number of tatami mats were in the room

    I just realized, I posted this in " Experienced Truckers ' Advice" <--which this post is certainly NOT advice! Mods please feel free move to a more appropriate section. My intent was to only to make discussion on an interesting aspect of the law.

    My advice to new drivers is comply, unless you need a 34hr reset... Or worse?

    You have the right to remain silent. In other words you don't have to answer questions about you. Is your truck over weight? You don't have to answer. Mind if I look in your sleeper? Just say no and they can go no farther. The burden of proof is on the prosecution. You are required to provide documents in accordance with your permits and CDL. Equipment inspections come with your permit. There is a difference between administrative laws and criminal laws.
