Wondering how many miles you guys put before recalibrating the engine?
Also my mechanic is charging 700$ for this.. is that too much?

Exactly what is being recalibrated?

I have the overhead run/valve lashing set once a year when I am off work for a summer vacation. It is a good time for me to have other items done. 80,000 miles or so. I assume $700 is reasonable.
Turbrospeed Thanks this. -

O yea am way over due then at 140k, thank you. Getting that done this thursday down in Miami. Next time i want to find someone in Austin, TX as i only live about an hour from there.

Ok, at least every 200k on a 60 series.
Swine hauler and Turbrospeed Thank this. -
I think you are good as I have heard you can go 300,000 miles, but I rather do it sooner than later.
-
Yea i heard that also from someone else, my mechanic said i need it every 6 months but in that time i only do about 20-30k miles so he must have been on the good stuff that day, however he is a really good mechanic, i have that 140k on a fresh rebuild and engine runs strong. I only have to add a gallon in 13k miles of running mobile extreme full syn.Big Road Skateboard Thanks this.

I usually suggest at 100k on a rebuild, so you definitely need it. 700$ isn't a deal, but it's not bad. If it's done right is the main thing.

Yea i mean i thought its a bit pricey but i trust this mechanic so whatever just sucks cause finding a load out of florida is a nightmare.
