I bought an used Volvo VNM it has a governor speed of 65MPH. I recently crossed the desert in Utah where the speed limit is 80MPH I had no choice but drive at 65MPH all day.
Any way to get rid of the governor or increase its speed? This truck was a fleet truck so I understand why they limit the speed.
    Any help is much appreciated.
    Thank you.

Take it to a dealer. There might be some, probably very few independent shops that can turn up the speed for you. I have paperwork from a dealer that shows I want to say $130 or something like that to set the speed at 80. For some reason the guy I bought my Volvo from had it set at 80. I haven't messed with it though since I rarely even go 75.
