After 8 hrs in the sleeper, you will have the same amount of hours left on your 11/14 as you did when you stopped. From the start of driving to a 8 in the sleeper to the next break (2hr) cannot be more than 11/14. You can keep doing the 8, the 2 , then 8.... indefinitely. The total hours on each side of any set of theses breaks can't be over 11/14.

It gets complicated with multiple deliveries taking time, depleting the 14 to nothing, even though drive time would still remain, and there is no real fix for that, I hardly ever have 2 hours at one receiver unless it's at the first one and planned that way.

This is what I observed from watching my clock for 8/2 split.
-- The 11 clock does not change. What was remaining prior to going in sleeper berth for 8 hours is what remains.
-- The 14 hour clock is calculated by taking the sum of time spent in driving and on duty prior to the 8 hours in sleeper, and then subtracting it from 14 hours.
-- Formula for 14 hour clock. 14 hours = 840 minutes.
840 - ( [driving minutes before sleeper] + [on duty minutes before sleeper] ) = [available time after 8 hrs in sleeper]Dieselboss Thanks this.
