Looks like a big crackdown. Any drivers here get caught up in this in past years? Be sure to trip plan a little extra time for this. Any advice for us noobies? Ill be sure to do thorough pretrips! Should be anyways, right?!!

It happens every year. Perhaps it's a good time to take a vacation if you don't want to partake in their little dog and pony show.

some states will actually hold their blitrz for a week. for that very reason. truckers takeing the week off.

most states, that i've seen. don't partake in the big party. and seems to be getting fewer and fewer.

this big crackdown happens every june, august, and september. and sometimes october. and they all have different names.

My advice is to do everything exactly like you always do. Keep your hand where we can see them and slowly climb out of your truck. Bring your logbook and paperwork for you truck and trailer and bring them inside.

Sat it out one year, ran it the next. Didn't get pulled in.

This is my 13th year of driving and my 13th blitz. I don't take vacation during, just roll as I usually do. No bubbles no troubles.

Knock on wood, either I had those days off or I managed to be in an area where there aren't any scales. But it always seemed that it was pretty much over by Thursday around noon time.

Last time I actually crossed a scale during the blitz was pre-2000 in Kentucky. They waved me on but the backyard was pretty busy.

They can look at my ol rag any time, take as long as they can stand the smell. Its rare I don't get a gold star. Keep your stuff right, tight, ready for the flight. Just handle your business you will be fine
