Unfortunately I'm done driving but omg finding different work is so difficult in the area where I live.
So my other issue is unlike trucking companies everyone else wants a stupid resume. Im not sure how to create one. I know plenty online templates but problem is I've been a company hopper, so how do I list all these jobs and how would say an office job look at a trucker with no other experience
Possibly could go back driving but honestly I really don't want to.
A bit off topic I guess

my nephew paid a woman who does resumes , to tailor his resume to each job He applied for
he never got an interview until he started paying this lady to write a resume for each job application
Then he got an interview every time

You're in a good location to become a merchant seaman or work on a cruise ship.

I’m a pretty good handyman and mechanic so I didn’t have too much trouble transitioning from owning a truck to working on on the maintenance staff at a hospital.

there are always professionals that can build a killer resume for you...many are worj=king at thier homes, or strip malls.
i put one together years ago, i got job offers, but i cannot recall how i put it together. -
In 50+ years of work, that's one thing I never did, was submit a resume. Trucking was considered one of those jobs where you could shmooze your way in, and by shmooze, I mean, the boss wasn't some faceless entity, you went in, looked him or her in the eye, and said, "I'm a natural born leeever puller, and you'd be stupid NOT to hire me", and the boss made the determination right then and there. None of this resume crap, GET GOIN'! I realize times have changed, but with all the electronic record keeping today, a future employer can go back to kindergarten if they want. A resume seems horribly old fashioned. I hopped around too, had 2 jobs in a week once, but that has all changed. One glitch stays with you forever. When you say, "done driving", you mean no license, or just done with a truck, because, today, due to the lack of ambition, there are so many opportunities for someone that actually wants to work. Look closer within. Trucking is kind of a copout, really, it requires little training and can appeal to most who are truly out of options. If you still like to drive, so many options. How about a bus driver? Yard jockey? Line haul? Heck, transport the elderly, and not sure any require a resume. Good luck, and if you do write a resume, I wouldn't list ALL the jobs. Job hopping, especially in trucking, isn't so rare these here days.

I was chatting with a guy that just graduated from a 2 year community college hvac course and had seven interviews and no job offer , I told him he had to be putting off bad vibes or something .
every hvac company is begging for workers -
Move where there are more jobs. Americans stopped moving and nail their feet to the ground.
Work inside at a trucking company, be prepaired for a pay cut. -
Often local groups for the unemployed and seniors have little seminars on resume building.
It does not need to be exactly job specific and remember resumes over one page plus cover letter usually get trashed
Google 'chronological resume'...lets you group some stuff together
X years doing whatever you did before driving -short description
x years driving for others - describe things like any special training and safety awards
x years owning my own - describe your business abilities, spend the most time on this
'currently looking to use X experience to do X kind of job'
the cover letter needs to be specific to each application and needs to mention the 'experience desired' buzz words in the job description to get past the sorting computer softwear.
The perfect resume won't get an interview without the buzz words somewheretscottme and kemosabi49 Thank this. -
Yeah
Most places use software to count the buzzwords and if you’re not over X amount of buzzwords you’re in the trashwis bang Thanks this.
