Can anyone tell me what the A1C limit is? Internet either says 8 or 10.

You should be fine in the 7s. My last two readings were 8.3 and I still got a year (I use CPAP so a 12-month card is all I can qualify for anyway).

I did get just a three-month card once several years ago when my level was a bit over 9. It’s the clinic’s discretion. I’ve really been watching it since March, however. My next reading in October will be under 7, I hope. But I just returned from a five day trip visiting grandkids, so that might go out the window!

I’ve never had my A1c checked for DOT physical….
Just urine for blood or sugar….
    Is that new?

    Diesel Dave Thanks this.

    Not new at all..

Some diabetes meds use the kidneys to flush sugar out of your system, this will put extra sugar in your urine raising the level... so they will do a A1C to check it to see if it's under control

    48Packard Thanks this.
