The Internationals with electric APUs have a 230A alternator and 8 deep cycle batteries. They use Delco Remy just the same. They make them big and small. What kind of lights are you running anyway? Find out their draw and multiply that by the number you have then divide by 14 if you're only running them while the truck is on and that's your minimum amps for the alternator, aside from additional loads like the ECM. It'll give you a ballpark of what you're looking at.

Wait, what? Think of your alternator like your air compressor, and think of your batteries like your air tanks. If you add a second trailer and hook it up, you don't need to adjust your air compressor to compensate, it just takes longer to fill the tanks. Same thing with adding another battery. You could add 100 batteries if you wanted, and your alternator won't care. It's only there to add voltage back into the batteries that you use. The batteries are just a "buffer", like capacitors.

You've got a lot of batteries already because it takes a lot of juice to start that truck. But once it's running, you would be fine with one single car battery.
