New drivers tend to create the BS and in return receive BS. Once you learn how to deal with things and people then it becomes less of an issue. Drivers know how to let it come in one ear and out the other kind of like listening to a nagging wife.:)

There are so many different aspects of trucking you haven't even touched the tip of the iceberg. You might like LTL, a fuel route, linehaul, delivering beer, hauling carpet, working for an excavating or asphalt company...I could go on and on.

Until you start a business of your own you will do what others say and like it. Otherwise you'll have a lot of headaches. I get the feeling you hate being told what to do and would hate any job.

If you like long haul then reefer is the way to go. There are many solo reefer jobs. The better jobs come with 2 years experience. You're almost there.

Haha! This persons' dream revolves around a .32 per mile job (website info) at Martin that he can't even qualify for! Whoop! Funny - the bad attitude, crappy driving record, and laziness is paying off for you. Thanks for sharing....don't think you'll have to hate your trucking job for too much longer - maybe by this time next year, you'll be hating your dish washing job (if you are lucky enough to get one of those....)!

Still, neither of my questions have been answered. I should have known this thread was going to turn into a whole different subject because that is how truck drivers are and this is a trucking forum. I know that a lot of trucking companies wont take me because of the violation and insurance reasons. I know that 2 years will open a lot of doors just like 1 year opens more than 0 experience. I am being told everything that I already know but once again that isn't a surprise because u truckers r lonely and have nothing else to do with your time besides talk trash and tell stories. Maybe u all should try taking a shower during your 30 minute break instead of playing on the internet to pass time away. Ooooops, this is a trucking forum and nobody takes showers because they run out of time after they tell stories at the buffet all day and mind other peoples business and hit on 16 year old waitresses at dennys. Oh well, I tried getting a list of companies without having to search the internet but I guess I will do that and leave u "know it all" truckers alone!

I'm a firm believer that if you work a job just for the money you'll never be happy, nor will you be good at it.Taking pride in your work goes a long way !

yea I don't care what it pays because 32 cents per mile at 2800-3200 miles is plenty for me. To be honest, I wouldn't mind running 1500 miles at 32 cents per mile because money doesn't matter if I like what im doing. Next thing u will say is 2800-3200 miles is unrealistic as well which shows where your 26 years of trucking got u. NOWHERE! 32 POSTS since April 2011 and u felt it necessary to comment on my thread. You must've really been lonely to search the internet for Martin. Lol, get a life guy!

You, sir, are not worth the advice the forum could give you. You keep referring to "truck drivers" like you are not one yourself. I agree, you should find the list of companies yourself. You seem to be the "know it all". You could probably use something to do anyway. Since this was your first post to the forum, I vote that it also be your last! Goodbye!

I love this. Come on a trucking forum. Insult the truckers on the forum, Ask for help. Get mad at truckers for not helping so insult them some more. Troll completed

How many different ways do you think you can call truckers dumb and ignorant in your posts you narcissistic, self important, arogant entitled jack ###!
Didn't your mother ever tell you that you can get more bees with honey? Or was she to busy giving you participation trophies and telling you how special you are? Good thing you don't really need to work. You will struggle getting and keeping jobs for the rest of your life with your attitude.
