Hi,
I am looking to get any advice in how to apply and what chances do I have in obtaining a job with SNI in the tanker div .I am 49 years old and worked with a different co(no driving related)from 1995 to 2011.From 2011 to present I day traded but after loosing my saving account I realized that is not for me like I thought. Before my job I obtained the CDL class A( here in NJ with Smith and Solomon in 1995)At that time my wife got pregnant and I just postponed the driving for 17 years.I also find out that SNI have a tanker division here in NJ and I am happy about it.I also checked the home page but I saw no jobs for inexperienced drivers. Any input or advice will be appreciated and I will follow up with my journey. Thanks in advance for your time and response.

Nice Thread, I'm not sure if they won't want you to do a refresher on this, It has been a while since you have driven a truck! I would certainly check into the process you have nothing to loose then them saying NO Or you need a refresher which would probably be running with a trainer for a few weeks, It looks like with the ads and other post here it is right in your neighborhood!

New Jersey bulk operations is based out of the tank wash in keasby nj. They do hire new drivers for bulk, but not sure if they do that out of jersey. Most likely if you did get accepted they would send you to coriapolis pa for orientation/training. Contact a recruiter and see what they say.
-
Correct. Don't know if the OP will need a refresher but just call. Coraopolis has by far the best group of road instructors, well probably anywhere. They will make you a great driver. Then it's back to Keasbey. The added is 155 Smith st in Keasbey if you want to check it out. It literally under a bridge. Call a recruiter, explain your situation and see what they say.
-
Actually after re-reading your post I can almost guarantee that you will need a refresher. You should look up a guy call Twicebit here on the forum. He actually knows more than me on all the refresher options and who requires them. The guy is a research machine, look him up.
-
I see Twicebit was already on here, that will teach me to read more carefully. Anyway loyal, that's the guy.

Thanks for your response. Today I submitted my application and I will wait 2 3 days to see if I get some response from them. Thanks again.
