Hi Everyone,
I hope you all doing great. I am resident of Quebec and wants to apply for Class 1 License. Unfortunately, i have only 10 driving points while you require minimum 11 points to be eligible for Class 1. I was thinking if i could make my license in Ontario with 10 points? If yes, on returning to Quebec can i transfer my license? I am sorry in advance if the question is stupid. Just looking for some alternative as i have to wait 2 years for my points to be recovered. I would really appreciate any response.
Kind Regards.

What are these points and how do you get them?
-
its Class 5 driving points. I have 10 out of 15 and SAAQ needs 11 points minimum to get Class 1 License
-
I'm confused, I see nothing about a point's requirement.

Thanks for your message. If you go on Eligiblity on same page it says:.
DRIVING RECORD
- You must have fewer than 4 demerit points entered in your record.
But i dont see such requirement in Ontario or may be i am wrong. -
Fewer than 4 demerit points seems to be something different than miminum 11 points. I know when I lived in Manitoba you could earn merit points, which is the opposite of demerit points. Not sure it Quebec has something similar but there's no mention of it in the requirements so I'm totally confused.
Sorry, can't help you. Just curious what these points are.magoo68 Thanks this. -
That sounds interesting. I would definately check that. Thanks

I've never heard of merit points, only demerit points... which you don't want.

I have 15 merit points(max) which earns me a 33% discount on license and insurance in Manitoba ..upnorthwpg, tinytim and not4hire Thank this.
