after application waiting time

    what is the average time you can expect after filling an application with a company until get back to you? about how long before I can assume they are not interested and should apply other places?

    That's right; sometimes they contact you within hours and other times maybe a few days.

    Yeah, you throw out a bunch of apps and someone calls you and offers a gig. It's not the gig you really want. So you take the for, go through the hiring circus, get issued your truck, and THEN, the company that you really wanted calls. Next question is

    yes I guess I might as well, I filled out an app with the company that is my first choice on sunday, so it hasn't been that long just wondering. I didn't want to start applying elsewhere until I knew this was a no go.

    It takes roughly a week.Can you tell us what company you applied to?What takes the longest is the employment verification.The MVR check they can get that back within an hr not sure about the DAC check though.

    Apply Everywhere.. start mulling through companies who respond, take you're best guess on offers. Never wait for companies.

    I've had co's call a month later saying "when can you come to orientation"? Every co. operates different. So depending how "on the ball" their people are, you may be contacted anywhere from 2 hrs to 2 weeks. Some may not even call you at all. Some may send you a postcard 2 weeks later declining to hire you. Apply at several co's. This process is only the beginning of you new adventure.
