We've got an '01 Volvo 770 that makes farting noises when the ac is turned on. It's generally the hotter the weather the more noise and we can run the fans all day with no trouble- makes me think it's the compressor. The mechanics we've been to just look at us weird because we can't duplicate it.
Its been happening the three years that we've had it, so I don't think it's a major issue, but I'm really curious what it is.
